Amanda & Jon, two of the most genuinely warm and kind people you’ll ever meet. Their wedding on top of a hill overlooking chew valley lake was simply beautiful. I had met them at the venue a few months previous when it was pretty cold and wet, the view was amazing but I was more than concerned that with poor weather we’d all be confined to a tipi.
This time we got lucky, very lucky considering it was the end of September and it ended up being one of the warmest days I can remember for that time of year.
The day was a total reflection of Amanda & Jon, relaxed and informal with little reminders of their life together scattered every where (Jon works with bikes as you will see further down). They had done the legal part of their ceremony the day before so after a beautiful first look which I felt such a privilege to capture, as I always do and a simple but brilliant blessing it was on to amazing food, camp fires and an superbly clear night for star gazing.
Look out for the fisherman who was a total legend and also the worlds most intense game of giant jenga!
