Whoa…. that went pretty quick eh?? It felt like yesterday I was writing my review of 2014.
This year 38 brilliant couples have put their trust in me to capture the biggest day of their lives which if I think about for too long gets me all a bit emosh… so lets move on. I can honestly say I have enjoyed every single wedding this year, some have had their challenges, the weather being one of the main culprits but the people, the people have all been amazing. I want to firstly say a massive Thank You to every single person who has let me photograph them this past year, it really does mean the world to me.
I’ve also been lucky enough to work at some incredible venues as well as shooting my first destination wedding in Ibiza.
On a personal level it’s been an incredibly busy year, I finally quit the full time job right at the beginning of the year and shortly after we we welcomed our second daughter Erin into the world. Along with her sister they keep us on our toes but we have all of the pieces to our jigsaw in place now and couldn’t be happier. I do a job I love and have 3 amazing girls to come home to after every wedding. I have never felt so blessed.
If you didn’t see the post about my right hand woman earlier in the year you can here…Once again I have been outshone, she’s given birth, been an incredible mum and wife all while editing 37 weddings (I did one :)). Thank you so much again!
So, we move on to 2016, I am beyond excited to keep pushing my photography and already have a bunch of amazing couples to work with as well as another wedding overseas, this time in Amsterdam… I cannot wait.
As always this post could of been huge. In my first draft I picked at least 5 images from every wedding plus a few engagement shots but then thought 200 images might be pushing it. So, here is just over 100 of my total favourites and one personal shot that seemed appropriate for this year. These images reflect the kind of photographs I love to take and for a whole host of reasons I just connect with them. I hope you enjoy them too
Happy New Year…. x
