Michelle & Chris had asked me to come and capture their amazing day in Amsterdam well over a year ago. I, of course jumped at the chance and have to say, it was utterly brilliant.
Everything started the evening before the wedding at the famous Pancake Bakery. I love it when I get chance to meet family and friends before the wedding as it means everyone is a lot more relaxed on the day with my camera pointed at them. A couple of beers, pancakes (obviously) and a lot of anticipation were the order of the day.
So, the wedding day came around and it was just one of those really special days, it was gloriously sunny, the streets were bustling, we had one stunning bride and our vessel was ready. Michelle & Chris decided to get married on a boat on a canal, their Best Man Stuart conducted the ceremony and it was just perfect. We then got to cruise around for an hour before heading to Blauwe Theehuis in The Vondelpark for dinner, drinks and dancing.
As you will see their day had so much style and originality. They had told me from day one that they wanted a day full of colour, fun and not a hint of stuffiness. They achieved that by the bucket load, I mean come on, how could a day not be fun with a Pacman Suit and Light up Trainers?
I am so lucky that my job takes me to such amazing places with wonderful people. That night I definitely went back to my hotel room feeling blessed. I hope you enjoy this set x
