Authentic Moments & Un-Posed Portraits
I view every wedding as a new opportunity to tell a story for a couple on one of the most important days of their lives. For me, that means going under the radar and capturing not only the really big moments like the first kiss, Dad’s speech and your first dance but the in-between moments, the ones you don’t see and a lot that you do but will forget in a heartbeat because a wedding day is like a whirlwind. I want to present you with a set of images that take you back. So, that in 1 year, 5 years and even 30 years when you’re sat with your grandkids you can remember why you were laughing so hard or why your sister had that tear running down her cheek.
I have now shot over 300 weddings and I am pretty sure every single couple has been a little anxious about the portrait part of the wedding day and I totally understand why. I don’t love having my picture taken and almost everyone I meet says the same. This is why I have worked really hard over the years to make wedding portraits as relaxed and un-posed as possible. I will never make you sit in a tree or lay down in a field unless you want to. All I ask is that you give each other a massive squeeze and just be yourselves. I normally take you outside twice on the wedding day for no longer than 20 minutes at a time.
