When a couple first contact me I know absolutely nothing about them, and I love that. It means that I get to begin the long journey of getting to know them and eventually being able to capture the biggest day of their lives.
I’m always reminding myself what a privilege it is that two people let me into their lives with my cameras on the most special of days. For Katy & Henry, this started way before their wedding and as always, I had absolutely no idea how amazing it was going to be, some weddings are particularly fun & full of energy, some are very stylish and give me so much beautiful stuff to capture and some hit that sweet spot right in the middle. This was one of them.
Katy & Henry are two of the loveliest and most laid back people I’ve shot and my lord did they throw one hell of a wedding. Helped by their incredible planner Krysta aka For the Love of Weddings they created one of the of the most beautiful and well-designed weddings I’ve shot. Hence why I’ve included quite a few details in this post. I’ve never seen a venue so covered in amazing flowers and foilage, all thanks to the amazing Pheasant Botanica. And then there’s the food, molecular cocktails, grazing stations, a donut wall, their own beer and no less than 8 wedding cakes!! Yep 8! Enough to keep the 190 evening guests happy. All of this was set at the beautiful Garthmyl Hall which I get to go back to later this year. Yay!

There just aren’t enough superlatives for this one, I mean Henry arrived on top of a Land Rover, come on!!!
